Silent Natives

Indie

Since they formed in 2012 Silent Natives have created a sound and energy that harnesses the very best of folk and acoustic indie rock. Brothers Steve and Rich Jones along with drummer Chris Kemsley have carved their place in this genre with masterful songwriting, gaining recognition for their soaring melodic hooks. Their latest single 'Alive', with its rolling drumbeat and climactic rhythm, is reminiscent of FleetFoxes huge folk-rock hits, with a nod to Fleetwood Mac. BBC Introducing labeled the 2022 release as "perfectly balancing the tenderness of folk with the energy of indie guitar music" and "almost symphonic" - encapsulating what's at the heart of this band. Having kickstarted their recording sessions in the early days with producer Ian Davenport (Radiohead, Supergrass) Silent Natives have taken cues from the best and are working on new music in 2023. If their latest release is setting the tone for the future, the Essex three-piece have more ethereal, anthemic, acoustic pop tracks in the works, for pure escapism in music form.
